2025-2026 Progress Update

Dear Donors,

Here is an update on our progress:

We approached the Appropriations Committee of the CT State Legislature in the Spring of 2025 with a formal request for funding to be able to open our Clubhouse. There were very positive responses from the members of the committee but due to the changing situation with Federal funding for CT, it was determined that the State of CT could not commit to funding a new project. 

Our Board was approached to forge a partnership with the faith community to foster mental health through the GHIAA initiative (Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance). To that end, we have begun serious dialogues with a local church in West Hartford whose mission is focused on mental health. So far, we are on the path toward that goal! 

We look forward to launching the Clubhouse inside this local church (which is located on a bus line, with “Jessica’s Community Garden” on the property for Clubhouse members to cultivate if they choose). By joining forces with this church whose mission focuses on the most vulnerable of our neighbors, we acknowledge that more hands to gently guide and bolster people in our midst, fulfills all of our missions.
