A place in greater Hartford where people with mental health challenges can find the safety and support. A place that provides opportunities to further their education, begin or return to the world of work, connect with new friends, and live a life with greater independence and purpose.

Accredited Clubhouses are a powerful indicator that people with serious mental health challenges can lead fulfilling and productive lives. The process of affiliating with Clubhouse International means that each Clubhouse strives to meet the highest standards of support for adults learning to live safely and meaningfully with mental health challenges. Accredited Clubhouses are local not-for-profit centers that provide members with opportunities to build relationships that, in turn, support them in pursuing education, employment and housing through the following guidelines:

This is a cornerstone concept of the Clubhouse International model of mental health support in which the talents and abilities of members are recognized and utilized within the Clubhouse to help it function.
RESTORATIVE ENVIRONMENT
The concept of peer-to-peer support and consensus-based decision making for newer as well as more seasoned members provides opportunities to build sustainable connections.
ASSISTANCE
In accessing community-based educational resources and securing and sustaining safe, decent and affordable housing
SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Opportunities to obtain paid employment in the local labor market through partnerships with local businesses. The Clubhouse International model of employment includes Transitional Employment, Supported Employment and Independent Employment programs.
EVIDENCE-BASED OUTCOMES
Proven, time-tested Clubhouse model leads members to fewer hospitalizations, decreased numbers of suicides, reduced homelessness, less incarcerations & recidivism.
HOLISTIC ENVIRONMENT
While also working alongside staff, this environment helps Clubhouse members manage the challenges they may face. Within an atmosphere of respect and dignity, the Clubhouse empowers the members’ ABILITY to work toward a daily goal.

The concept of the “Work Ordered Day” fosters an atmosphere that encourages members to work together toward a goal. This helps ease the social isolation that frequently accompanies mental health challenges. Evening, weekend and holiday social and recreational events are offered for members.

Infinite Horizons Clubhouse, Inc. is based on the Clubhouse International model of Mental Health Rehabilitation, which provides members opportunities to build lasting relationships that support them in their goals for employment, education, housing, health, wellness, socialization and community integration, all in an atmosphere that is hopeful, safe and secure.

Members lives are improved as they begin to work toward and reach their vocational, financial, and social goals. The benefits to the wider community are evident with a larger number of employed individuals and an increased tax base.

Become Involved
We are a grassroots group of people interested in mental health recovery who have been working to establish a Clubhouse in Hartford County for the last few years. We’ve attended the Clubhouse International trainings, formed a board, obtained our 501c3 – we just need the funds to open! That’s where you can help.
Once fully open, Infinite Horizons will welcome non-perishable, boxed or canned food for our food pantry, donations of clothing for our “back to work” projects, as well as donations for other projects as we grow. Keep checking our website for updates! Learn more
