Transitional Employment
A reliable option that is low-risk from an employer perspective and a great way for Clubhouse members to gain confidence and skills.
First, an Infinite Horizons staff member learns the minimum wage, time-limited (6-9 months) job. Then, they teach it to the Clubhouse member and provide transportation from the Clubhouse to the job. If the member is ill or unable to work one day, the staff member “fills in” so the employer does not lose a worker for that day.
Supported Employment
The next level of support an employer can offer a Clubhouse member. Begins part-time with the option to increase to full-time.
The Clubhouse recommends a place of employment familiar with the Clubhouse model, but encourages the member to apply and get the job which begins as part-time with the option to become full-time. Transportation is assumed by the member, but support from the Clubhouse is always available.
